Located on the southwestern coast of Nusa Penida Island in Bali, Kelingking beach is a secluded stretch of white sand bordered by steep T-rex-shaped cliffs. The scenic beauty is offset by the 400m steep climb and strong undercurrents, making this a sparsely populated beach. Bamboo fences are the only security from fatal falls, so physical fitness is a must while coming here.
Kelingking Beach is a hidden gem located on Nusa Penida Island. The word 'Kelingking' translates to "pinkie", a reference to the smallest finger of our hand. This is because the land here looks similar to the pinkie finger. This beach is replete with many points that give panoramic views of the whole place. It is a wonderful place hidden amidst limestone cliffs and beautiful blue water.
The best time to visit Kelingking Beach is during the dry season, between the months of April and September. During this time period, the weather is pleasant and windy.
