Muthyala Maduvu, popularly known as Pearl Valley is located around 40 kilometres away from Bengaluru and around 5 kilometres from Anekal. This beautiful picnic spot is located within a valley which is nestled amidst the hills. Pearl Valley is rich in flora and fauna, and houses many exotic species of birds, owning to the waterfall. The main attraction of Pearl Valley is a mesmerising waterfall and drops of water falling from the rock surfaces creates an illusion of a pearl-like appearance, hence the name ‘pearl valley’. 3. Ashok Chandra Complex

4. Taj Mahal

You might be thinking that how did Taj Mahal shift its location from Agra to here. Well, a replica of one of the Seven Wonders of the World is located at a distance of 16 km from Muthyala Maduvu. Even if you have visited Agra, you can still visit this place and take in the grandeur of this place.

5. Shiva Temple

On top of the waterfall is an ancient temple devoted to Lord Shiva. Every morning a puja is conducted in the temple and you must attend it because you will feel pious after that. Many devotees visit this temple every day to pray and seek blessings.

6. Nilgiri Plantations

Near the waterfall top is a beautiful Nilgiri plantation. The amazing view of the plants swaying with the wind is quite a sight to see. Take a leisurely stroll in this plantation and be amazed by its beauty.

Etymology

In Kannada, Muthyala means ‘Pearl’ while Maduvu means ‘Pond/Pool’. The place is called Muthyala Maduvu because of its beauty and moreover because of the fact that when the water flows from the waterfalls it feels as if pearls are falling in a string which feels mystical.

Biodiversity

Muthyala Maduvu is rich in Flora and Fauna. The valley is full of mysterious dense forest covered which a wide variety of species. The chirpings of colourful birds can be heard in the peaceful forests and vivid butterflies can be spotted roaming freely. The forest is home to elephants and wild bears. Many rare and blooming flowers are also members of this lush green forest.

Good scenic, maximum you can spend 30min away from city near to attibele anakal good time to visit in rainy season its a valley not hill station.
