Opera House ia located at Place de la Comédie in Bordeaux. The Bordeaux National Opera is known for its remarkable artistic variety, with a focus on lyrical and choreographic performances that encompass a broad range of composers, from Monteverdi to Britten, as well as works by Mozart and Verdi.
Designed by Victor Louis, it is now home to the Bordeaux National Opera, and it's decorated in luxurious blue, white, and gold - colors that symbolize royalty. The Grand-Théâtre has a rich history encompassing various performances, including theater, operas, and concerts, and it has welcomed many renowned artists to its stage over the years. The opera features a substantial permanent team of artists, including 110 musicians from the Bordeaux National Orchestra under the baton of Paul DANIEL, 38 dancers from the Bordeaux National Ballet led by Charles JUDE, and 37 artists from the Bordeaux National Opera Choir. In addition, every season, the opera invites guest artists such as esteemed international conductors like Darell Ang and Pablo Heras-Casado, as well as renowned soloists and singers.

Operas, dance & music performances can be booked at the Box Office (prices subject to the type of performance). Being a formal venue, visitors are expected to dress appropriately in formal attire. The Opera has a bar and restaurant, but to enjoy it, one must make a reservation in advance. One must arrive 30 minutes before the performance starts to allow enough time to find your seat, navigate through the program and dive into the ambiance of the theater.
