Chrysanthemum Show, Chandigarh Overview

Held every year at the Terraced Garden of Chandigarh, The Chrysanthemums Show is one of the most popular flower shows of India. The Show is generally held in March in which hundreds of city gardeners participate. The flower show has been increasingly gaining momentum with rows and rows of Chrysanthemums bathed in a riot of colours that await its visitors.

How To Reach

By Air

Chandigarh has a small airport which is located at some distance from the central city. There are regular flights to and from Leh, Amritsar and Delhi. Shatabdi Express connects Chandigarh to other cities of North India.

By Road

Inter-state and intercity buses are also a convenient mode of transportation. Sector 33 is centrally located and can easily be reached by taxi or a cab.

About the Terraced Garden

Located in Sector 33 of Chandigarh, the Terraced Garden is a major tourist attraction. It was established in 1979 and has been immensely popular since then. It is spread across 10 acres and has lush green grass with some of the best flowers in the world. Its highlight is the musical evenings when folk songs and film songs are played against the scenic background.

About The Chrysanthemum Show - Events & Activities

The Chrysanthemums Show gives one an opportunity to discover the varied assortments of the flowers which are arranged in interesting patterns like animals and birds. It is one of the unique shows of North India which empowers citizens for greenery. About 250 varieties of chrysanthemums like a spider, pom pom, football are on display at the event.
