Copenhagen Botanical Garden, Copenhagen Overview

Copenhagen Botanical Garden is a green oasis in the heart of the city. It is a living museum and home to Denmark's largest collection of plants from all over the world, including different species of plants including Danish, Perennial and Annual. The collection of 27 glass houses are particularly stunning.

The Botanical Garden contains 13,000 species of plants and is a part of the Natural History museum of Denmark. It also includes species that are extinct in the wild. There are various attractions in the garden which includes all glass Palm House, The new Butterfly House and also very interesting statues. The garden also has a special air conditioned greenhouse with exotic and tropical plants that can also re-create an environment suitable for Arctic plants.The garden includes a flower shop and a cafe for a break as well.

The most notable are the cast-iron spiral stairs leading to the Victorian building of Palm House that was built in 1874. Talking about the Butterfly House it will allow you to experience the magnificent life of butterflies fluttering all around the area. The conservatory covers an area of 32,000 square feet.
