Every collection is unique, including artifacts and religious figurines from India, Japan, China, Tibet, Nepal, and other Asian countries. It was founded in 1928 and was then known as the Museum of Sino-Japanese Art. It is one of the most monumental architectural landmarks and provides a deep insight into thousands of years of Asian Art. There are Chinese ceramics, handmade rugs, ancient coins and jewellery dating back to the 19th century, nomadic textiles, Hindu religious carvings, Japanese Shakaru art, and rare Samurai armour. The history of important religions like Hinduism, Buddhism and others can be traced in these handcrafted pieces.
