Burj Al Arab Beach is a public beach surrounding the stunning, world-famous hotel, Burj Al Arab. Located in the Umm Suqeim area, it is also locally known as Umm Suqeim Beach or Sunset Beach. This place is one of the most photographed areas in Dubai.

The Burj Al Arab Beach, apart from being incredibly scenic, also attracts the crowd who just want to relax after a long day/week due to it's lesser crowded shores. Compared to other famous beaches, this beach is relatively empty, peaceful and is ideal for those who wish to revitalise and rediscover themselves. Best time to go surfing at Burj Al Arab Beach: The waves in Dubai are consistent, and the ideal time for this would be from October to June.

Burj Al Arab Beach is one of the best spots in the UAE to go surfing. If you want to experience the waves too but are a total beginner, then just get a paddleboard and enjoy the waves. Part of the reason why Dubai is an excellent catch for surfers is that there are significant wind swells, so there are surfable waves along the stretch, and due to the strong winds which create these waves, there is a light stormy surf condition.

Capturing the sunset and the sunrise here is a beautiful sight so be present here during those times. Although in summers, the ideal time would be around 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

Tips For Visiting Burj Al Arab Beach

  • The water here is definitely colder than on the other beaches so make sure you also have a little bit of warm clothing.
  • There are rough waves sometimes and the surface underneath the water is itself very uneven, causing many to drown, so take care of the little ones!
  • There are no washrooms at the beach but there are washrooms in the park across the street. Police and ambulance take regular rounds here to ensure safety.

How To Reach Burj Al Arab Beach

Umm Suqeim lies near Jumeirah. So it is around 25-30 minutes far from the main city. One can use the RTA Taxis to reach the destination; using own transportation can be tricky because there is limited parking space, so taxis are usually a safe option.
