The Prehistoric Village in Boutenslaan is a carbon copy of a prehistoric and medieval village showcasing structures and demonstrations of techniques used by historical people. These activity displays include prehistoric farming methods, hand weaving and spinning, metalwork, and other skills.
One can get well-acquainted with historical facts if this museum is thoroughly explored. In the museum, one can come across hunters from the Stone Age, farmers from prehistoric times, and craftsmen from the Middle Ages. It also provides a great opportunity to interact with them and hear stories about their daily life in the past. Tourists enjoy this place because it provides a deep-rooted sense of the past which is enlightening from a historical point of view. In 1982, a group of teachers founded this museum. From 2016 onwards, the open-air museum is officially called the Prehistoric Village.
