South Goa Tourism
South Goa is one of the two districts that constitute the State of Goa. South Goa is on the other side of Party Capital which is less touristy than the rest of the state. With a coastline replete of beaches that are much less crowded than the North, South Goa holds a rich natural environment relatively untouched by civilization.
With a calm and tranquil vibe, unlike the chaotic North, South Goa is a great place for laid-back travellers. Visitors can chill at the beach or explore the lesser visited places like the Dudhsagar Waterfalls or go on the wildlife sanctuary safaris on the eastern side of Goa.
Some empty beaches like the Butterfly Beach, Agonda Beach, Palolem, Polem beaches call out travellers with the gentle sound of waves. The nights in South Goa are nothing less in levels of excitement. With famous nightclubs like the Leopard Valley, Silent Noise, Johnny Cool’s, The Smuggler’s Inn, Outback, Liquid Lounge, and Sundowner, South Goa partying takes the night into a completely contrasting world. Like all other beaches in Goa, South Goa also has a series of markets waiting for the shopaholics to loot the great deals it offers especially in the famous markets of Colva beach and Palolem Beach. South Goa is particularly famous for the personalised luxurious experiences in its popular resorts like The Taj Exotica, The Leela Goa, and The Ramada Beach Resorts. Food in South Goa is much more inclined towards the Goan taste, but there are some options like Martin’s Corner, Village Square, Magic Italy that serve different cuisines.
