Situated 92 km south west of Chikmagalur in Kalasa, this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, found surrounded on three sides by the river Bhadra. The marriage of Shiva-Parvathi is celebrated here every year. Being an agriculture town, Kalasa is rich in tea, coffee and spices production. Kalaseeshwara is the main temple of the town, but there are other small temples nearby worth visiting such as Girijamba Temple, Hanuman Temple, Venkataramana Temple, Ranjal Mahalakshmi Temple, Vasishta Ashrama and Shree Chandranatha Swamy Temple.
