Muzhappilangad Beach

As the name suggests, the Muzzhapilangad Drive in Beach is one of the rare beaches in India and the only beach in Kerala that allows vehicles to roam about its golden shores. If you enjoy driving, you must give yourself the opportunity to drive on the sandy shore of this beach- no speed bumps, no traffic, no turns; just a long stretch of a flat and open road that has a mesmerisingly spectacular view. It is a thrilling experience to drive along the shallow waters as the tyres make tall and splashing waves when you whiz by. The Muzzhapilangad Beach is quite a windy one, so you will have the shafts of the cool breeze playfully teasing you as you go around the beach.

There are small kiosks set up on the shore by the locals that sell lip smacking, and traditional versions of many dishes of the Malabar cuisine and they are an absolute hit with all the visitors, especially tourists. The seafood here is popular all over the city, especially the prawns, pomfrets and fish.
