Kakkanad

A major industrial hub in Kochi, Kerala, Kakkanad is located in the eastern part of the city and is also a famous residential region in Kochi. Kakkanad houses major landmarks including Cochin Special Economic Zone, Smart City, Infopark, and KINFRA Export Promotion Industrial Park.

Kakkanad is an administrative headquarters of the District of Ernakulam, as well as a part of Thrikkakara Municipality. There’s also a Panchayat office located in this region. As Kakkanad is a part of the Ernakulam district’s administrative hub, it is home to various central and state government offices. Wonderla Amusement Park is the major attraction in Kakkanad.
