Strawberry Festival in Mahabaleshwar

The Mapro Strawberry Festival is a three-day annual event which is one of the most awaited festivals of Mahabaleshwar; it aims to spread sweetness, cheeriness, and love all over the world. It was initiated roughly four years ago when there was an excess production of strawberries.

Mapro, a strawberry farm conceptualized it to promote their products and also to encourage people to consume fruits by coming up with different and innovative forms of the fruit. It has boosted the Mahabaleshwar and Panchgani tourism manifold.

Over the years, the festival has expanded, attracting thousands of enthusiasts. The festival is a good avenue for the farmers of the nearby villages, and over 250 of them come to participate in the festival. Strawberries are abundantly available from December to February, and the harvest is celebrated during the Easter weekend through this festival.

What to Eat - Relish These Delicacies

The tourists during four days get to experience a wide assortment of strawberries and strawberry based products like strawberry pizza, strawberry bhel, jams, crushes, milkshakes, chocolate-based strawberry, strawberry jam sandwiches among other finger-licking delicacies. It is an absolute delight for the taste buds and is something which shouldn't be missed.

Other Entertainment at the Mapro Strawberry Festival

The Strawberry Festival also includes free visits to the strawberry farms, Mapro Food Park excursions and a variety of cultural and entertainment activities. The festival also has some not-to-be-missed Mehendi and watercolour tattoo stalls.

Tourists also get to witness lezim and dhol dance performance along with a live orchestra. The performers come from Pratapgarh and enthralling the audience with some foot tapping music.
