Marlborough

The Marlborough Region, or known more simply just as Marlborough is located just off the northern tip of New Zealand’s South Island, at a distance of nearly 800 km away from Queenstown. The Marlborough Region is known around the world for its famous sprawling vineyards that cultivate and harvest some of the finest grapes to make arguably amongst the finest wines in the world. Along with some of the freshest seafood against a backdrop of the stunning waterways and dramatic reliefs of the Marlborough Sounds, Marlborough is quite literally, a feast for the senses.

Blessed with the perfect climatic conditions necessary to cultivate grapes that produce some of the world’s finest sauvignon blanc and pinot noir wines, the Marlborough Region alone is one the nation's largest wine producers. Marlborough alone is responsible for over 70% of New Zealand exports of  both greenshell mussels and chinook salmon. The region is a hotbed for culinary activity and attracts some of the world’s finest chefs and restaurants that want to take advantage of the region’s clear capabilities to serve as a culinary-tourism destination. 

The Marlborough Region is also home to undoubtedly some of the most awe-inspiring sights as the jagged edge of the South Island’s northern coast cuts across the water of the Marlborough Sounds. Cruise-boating is a popular leisure activity that allows you to truly absorb these beautiful highlights.
