Muddenahalli is a village which is situated at a distance of 7 km from Chikballapur. It is located in the Chikballapur district in the state of Karnataka. The village also comprises of a memorial which is dedicated to M. Visvesvarayya on the land owned by the family at Muddenahalli with Nandi Hills in the backdrop. It is a very famous museum of the region and showcases a collection of writings, paintings, and photographs of M. Visvesvarayya. The renovation of the museum took place on 15th September 2010 on the occasion of his 150th birth anniversary.
The ancestral home of M. Visvesvarayya is also located on the side of the museum. This is also his birthplace. He was a very famous artist of Mysore. He was also awarded the greatest award of India Bharat Ratna medal which was awarded to him and has been displayed in the museum.
The Samadhi of Sir MV is situated adjacent to the museum. Along with Muddenahalli, one can also visit other sites present including Anjaneya temple, Bhoga Nandeeshwara temple, Baanathi Bande, Antharagange and Nellikayi Basavanna. Tourists flock in from near and far to the place to enjoy its beauty.
