The Basilica of Notre-Dame de Nice, in the heart of Avenue Jean Médecin, is a Roman Catholic Basilica. This architectural masterpiece is famous for its large rose stained glass detailings depicting the Assumption of Mary and 65-meter-tall twin towers. At night the basilica is lit and offers a spectacular show.
The monument is also open to meetings, recitals, concerts, and other cultural celebrations. Annual music festivals are hosted here during summers and winters. Built in the neo-gothic style around 1865 and opened in 1879, this Basilica was inspired by Angers and Parisian cathedrals and is the largest church in Nice. Regular prayer services along with sacraments and other celebrations take place in this basilica.
