The Opéra de Nice is Nice's main opera house. Opera is an actual historical gem of the French Riviera. Its workshop, known as the Diacosmie, is where everything from sets to costumes is made.

The citizens of Nice have a special affection for Opera. Opera house is also home to the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra and Ballet Nice Méditerannée. It is 130 years old and is an excellent illustration of Second Empire architecture. The Nice Philharmonic Orchestra provides concerts that always prove to be of extremely high quality because of its intentionally diverse composition. The tour has a guide to take you through the entire opera house. Additionally, the building provides rehearsal spaces for the Ballet Nice Méditerranée and the Philharmonic Orchestra.
