Known as the 'Queen of the Nilgiris',Ooty is a place which every traveller must visit once in his lifetime. The place has an optimum temperature which dips during the winters. The botanical garden an (Read More)d the rose garden are a treat to the eye. A boat ride through the Ooty Lake is a must.

A beautiful hill station with lovely flowers , waterfalls , pine forests , lakes and tea gardens . The clouds & fogs give another dimension to the queen of hill stations . Toy train journey from Ooty (Read More) to Coonoor rail station was too good . The scenic beauty of Pykara , Coonoor & Ooty was majestic.

You can enjoy zip lining, sky driver, (Read More) wall climbing etc at this adventure place. This adventure team is called Eagle adventure sports limited.

I visited Ooty with my family ( bunch of 12 people) in end of June 2016. Frankly speaking, the only best time to visit Ooty according to Indian weather is mid June to mid September. There were many g (Read More)ood places to visit but few of my fam-jam favourites were 'The Ooty Boat House', 'The Botanical Gardens', 'The Pine Forest' and every train freaks cutest dream i.e 'The Nilgiri Toy Train'. Personally speaking visiting Ooty either with family or friends will give one a memorable and unforgettable hill station trip experience.

The best part of travelling to this place is the scenery of eucalyptus trees and simultaneously seeing the tea plantations. I had been to Ooty twice, and both the times it was a great experience. The (Read More)re is a view point in the top of the hill, from which one can see the borders of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. The tea factories provide a wide variety of tea flavours. Visitors can also have an insight of how the tea leaves are processed. You can also taste all varieties of tea without paying for it. There is a shopping stop in the factory, where you can find handmade chocolates and clothes. Rose gardens and boating are also must visit places.

Being the highest peak in the Ooty, this point is most attractive to the adventure lovers. Climbing it in the evening will be the best experience. Going by a car is also fine unless it gets struck in (Read More) the narrow steep roads. After you reach the point, there is a garden with variety of flowers. The best part of reaching the point is the telescope view. As the point is always crowded, it is usually hard to enjoy the telescope view for more than thirty seconds. It?s pleasant weather will be a respite during the summers.

Ooty is one of my favourite holiday getaways when it comes to hill stations. Due to the elevation, it remains fairly cold throughout the year therefore do not underestimate the cold even when you are (Read More) travelling in June. Carry some light woollens. The Rose Garden, Botanical Gardens and Doddabetta peak are few of the famous attractions here. It would be a good idea to hire a tourist cab or a bus so that you can cover all the sightseeing spots easily. Apart from the wonderful experience this place has to offer, the homemade chocolates sold here are one of the best things that you can take away from the city.

Ooty generally features mild conditions throughout the year, therefore can be visited throughout the year. Visit the Government Rose Garden, the largest Rose garden in India. It is situated on the sl (Read More)opes of the Elk Hill in Vijayanagaram of Ooty town at an altitude of 2200 meters. Today this garden has one of the largest collection of roses in the country with more than 20,000 varieties of roses of 2,800 cultivars. The collection includes hybrid tea roses, Miniature Roses, Polyanthas, Papagena, Floribunda, Ramblers, Yakimour and roses of unusual colours like black and green. Go boating on the Ooty lake. There are also horse-riding facilities. Carry warm clothes and beware of touts and fake guides.

I have been to Ooty in August 2017 . The weather at that time was the best i.e cold and a little bit of rain . So we were 3 on 2 bikes from Bangalore . Before Ooty we crossed Bandipur National Park t (Read More)hat too a beautiful place . Just after the national park is over you are greeted with hills and cold breeze . After we entered Ooty it was green everywhere with less amount of traffic . We searched for a place to stay put our bags there and left for Doddabetta peak road was not in a very good position but it was also not worst . There was a entry ticket of 20(not totally sure ) and the view from the peak was breathtaking , beautiful . Sunrays coming out from the clouds and shining over the valley . We spend around hour and half there and then left for Botanical Garden as the day was ending and we didn't have time to go someplace else . The garden is maintained pretty well with a large variety of flowers and plants . We then left for our room and rested at night and morning after taking breakfast we left for Paykra Lake and Falls . In the way we found Shooting point so we decided to take a look . And again the look was breathtaking there was a huge lake with 3 sides covered with huge trees it was totally beautiful . After that we reached Paykra Lake and it started raining so we waited and then decided to take a ride in the lake . It was very chilling with fog and rain but the view was beautiful . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Hk7H1vEqPw&t=5s
