Sprawling over 900 hectares of land, Kinta nature park is the largest bird sanctuary located on the outskirts of Batu Gajah in Malaysia. Apart from offering splendid scenery, this nature park displays a variety of flora and fauna. Visitors can spot 1381 aquatic birds in the wetland here, including stork-billed kingfishers, baya weavers, otters, and butterfly lizards. Clouded leopards and foxes are also sheltered in this park. Lake Pucung expanding over 41 hectares, is the largest pond in this aviary and serves as a visitor’s area. In addition, there’s an observation tower here where bird enthusiasts can catch a glimpse of herons and egrets that wander above the clear waters.
