This super busy port at the mouth of the Swan river is more than just a commercial hub. It is an important historical site, and also a top attraction for tourists. While once it existed only as a cargo port, today it is host to the Maritime Museum, the brilliant E-Sheds Markets, an eclectic collection of restaurants, and amazing walking tours. You will also come across the STS Leeuwin, Australia's largest sail training ship, and a replica of the Duyfken, the first known European ship to actually dock on Australian mainland.
