Sisowath Quay is a famous boulevard located in the city of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This street, lined with many shops selling souvenirs, restaurants, cafes and bars, is a popular hangout place for the locals and a tourist attraction, which gets crowded during the weekends and holidays. The promenade lies in front of the Mekong river and is also famous for water sports enjoyed by travelers visiting Phnom Penh.
Sisowath Quay was constructed as a part of renovating the city of Phnom Penh in the late 1990s and is named after one of the Cambodian Kings Sisowath. From just being a street filled with shops, it is now a popular stop for people looking to relax in Phnom Penh after exploring other attractions. The neighbourhood stretches for about 3km along the Mekong waterfront and is adorned with shops selling many things ranging from souvenirs to jewellery, many river-facing upscale restaurants offering beautiful views, cafes, bars and pubs. It is also a popular destination for Phnom Penh nightlife, especially during the peak season when the area is bustling with tourists.
