Paradise Beach, Pondicherry

Paradise Beach, also known as Plage Paradiso, is a serene and secluded beach located in Chunnambar, near Pondicherry town in Tamil Nadu, India. Accessible only by ferry across the backwaters, the journey takes approximately 20-30 minutes and offers stunning views of lush mangrove forests and abundant birdlife. Along the main entrance to the beach, visitors can find a few shacks offering fresh coconut water and simple snacks, adding to the rustic charm of the area.

The beach itself features golden sands and pristine waters, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and recreation. However, due to strong currents, swimming deep into the water is not recommended. Paradise Beach is particularly popular for witnessing the sunrise on the eastern coast, offering a breathtaking sight for early risers. Additionally, the beach offers various water sports facilities, allowing visitors to indulge in activities such as fishing, with equipment available for rent.
