El Cañuelo, Puerto Rico Overview
Located on Isla de Cabras, El Cañuelo is one of the best forts on the island and is declared the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Puerto Rico. Built-in 1610 as the first fort to protect the city from the invaders, the fort is the best place to visit in Puerto Rico to have the best ocean views. The visitors can also have a walk around the walls as the internal parts are closed for safety reasons of the visitors. The beautiful view of San Juan Bay and the Boca Vieja Cove attracts many tourists each year.
