Veerhaven

The Veerhaven is one of the several ports in Rotterdam situated between Willemskade and Westerkade. Veerhaven promenade is lined with wonderfully maintained buildings with the architectural styles of the ancient era and several restaurants where one can enjoy their meals with a scenic view.

Since 1990, under the management of the Veerhaven Foundation, the harbour has been used for as a docking site for pleasure craft and is home to historic sailing ships.The Veerhaven comprises a jetty for the Water Taxi and the Hotel New York Ferry Service.  Veerhaven is quite sophisticated due to the preservation of ships and structures of the past periods that are lined up. This makes its surroundings a classic and photogenic spot. This place is also known to be a starting point for many sea voyages.There are also restaurants around Veerhaven where can enjoy their meals with a scenic view. One can even see the river New Maas and the Erasmus bridge. The specialty of this place is that it is calm and nature-friendly.  Besides, this small harbour is engulfed by old buildings. Tourists often visit this harbour due to its distinctiveness.
