The Clock Tower of Rovinj is centrally placed at the town square known as Marshal Tito Square. The clock is situated on top of a bell tower that gives a picturesque view of the city. One can climb on the top to enjoy this view and get a closer look at the mechanism behind the working of the clock.
It features the fierce Lion of Saint Mark. It is an homage to an important chapter of Croatian history- the rule of the Venetian Republic. Another historical importance of the place is that its basement was once used as a prison for minors.
The clock and the building have wonderful colours and are a marvel to look at. The location is perfect for getting sun-kissed pictures too. It is one of the tallest buildings in Rovinj. So, while in Rovinj, we would highly recommend you to visit this place for the stunning views and for gram-worthy pictures.
