Calkoy Cave is an 8-kilometre-long cave, second the longest cave in the world. Despite this, only one kilometre of its length is open for visitors. A freshwater river flows through the cave, above and along which wooden bridges are built for tourism purposes. With around 72 rooms inside the cave, one encounters plenty of water pools, stalactites, and stalagmites. It is a fascinating place where one can hear the echo of their voices and experience natural mineral formations in their rawest form.
It is well-maintained and illuminated with coloured lights. There is a waterfall at the entrance, and one has to go through it to enter the cave. There are also wide and narrow well-lit passageways inside, and about a five-degree drop in temperature makes it chillier than the outside temperature. There is also a range of cafes and eateries outside the caves. There is also a coffee shop with a beautiful view of the area.
