About Varanasi Tourism: Also known as Banaras or Kashi, Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh is one of the world's oldest cities and one of India's seven holiest cities. It is situated alongside the Ganges and is known for its many temples, ghats, aartis and auspiciousness.
