With its past dating back to the time of Emperor Maximilian II, the action at Spanish Riding School started after the ruler got the popular Lipizzaner horses in 1562. The best time to catch some action is during morning training sessions for which tickets are available at the door on the day. For actual performance, it is better to book your tickets well in advance as they are in high demand. The season is from March to June and then from September to December. For final dress rehearsals, the tickets are available on first-come-first-served basis.
