The Rothorn mountain towers over Zermatt in the Canton of Valais in the Swiss Pennine Alps. It is located on the north range of the Findel Glacier, to the west of Oberrothorn. One can visit this summit by cable car via Sunnega and Blauherd. It is one of the prime ski regions placed around Zermatt.
Rothorn is one of the highest altitudes in Zermatt, thus providing eye-catching views of Matterhorn and the encompassing mountains. As a suggestion, for tourists especially, it is advised to rise early so that they can take pleasure in the beautiful vision at sunrise. One of the distinct spots to see is the themed hiking trail “Peak Collection” around the restaurant Rothorn. Another interesting and prominent activity for tourists is hiking. The scenic view and adventure encourage many tourists to visit this site.
