Nebraska, USA

Nebraska is a mid-western U.S state that is often overlooked as an ideal vacation destination. The state is home to a distinct population famous for its warmth and hospitality and has a rich cultural lineage that can be traced back to the beginnings of the formation of the country.

Nebraska was home to several famous indigenous tribes including Omaha, for which a city in the state is named. Native American culture is an inseparable aspect of Nebraska's personality. The state holds several annual celebrations and maintains close connections to its Native American roots, cementing it as one of the few states in the country where tourists can witness and relive ancient experiences and culture.

Nebraska is known for its stunning array of natural wonders and is undoubtedly a nature lovers paradise. Nebraska is characterized by its several small townships that usually have residents numbering just a couple thousand including Monowi, a town run by a single citizen - a tourist attraction in its own right.

Nebraska features some of the most beautiful driving routes in the country, scarcely touched by man. Some of the best trails to walk or drive through include the Scotts Bluff National monument - a 3000-acre natural structure and the Sandhills- often chronicled as the most scenic driving tour in the U.S. Visitors frequently hike up to the Panorama Point- the highest point in Nebraska- to be greeted by the states indigenous bison population and stunning views.

Arguably the most recognizable monument in Nebraska is the Chimney Rock National Historic site- a beautiful structure that stands today as it has for hundreds of years. The state maintains its personal connection to the past with cobbled streets and closely planned cities. The Old Market in Omaha and the Haymarket District in Lincoln are two quaint stops that have a rich history and legacy. Nebraska is certainly a state to visit on any travels through the U.S- its quaint but strong personality delights any visitors.
