Pennsylvania's history is deeply tied to the country's nation-building process and founding ideals- the state holds within itself several historic landmarks that are frequented by tourists around the world hoping to get the closest look at American history. Known as 'The Keystone' state, Pennsylvania is famous for its diverse and accommodating terrain and urban settlements.

Pennsylvania features some tranquil natural views like the Allegheny and Poconos National forests which are ideal for nature enthusiasts. One of the top parks in the state is the Presque Isle State Park which curves as a part of the peninsula and features several miles of shoreline on the famous Lake Eerie. Pennsylvania is home to some extremely recognizable cities including Philadelphia, the core symbol of the history that runs through the state's veins.

The Liberty Bell is housed at the Independence National Park. Valley Forge on the outskirts of Philadelphia and The Gettysburg Battlefield stand today as ultimate symbols of American endurance and spirit. On the opposite end of the spectrum of tourist activities in Pennsylvania, families routinely visit the Hershey Park in the town of Hershey, an amusement park centred around chocolate. Tourists in Pennsylvania usually take a drive down the town of Intercourse, famous as a quaint and traditional region and home to several communities of people like Amish who practice old fashioned and simple living.
