We had a fantastic time with Beyond the Plains in Kenya and can wholeheartedly recommend booking your tours with them! Starting with John's great communication and presentation we had a good feeling f (Read More)rom the start about their proposed 7-day Safari tour. Everything was well organised and the tour felt adventurous and luxurious at the same time. A special thanks goes to our guide Dan who shared his 20 years of safari experience with us. He never got tired of answering our many questions and made sure we had a fantastic time. We really couldn't have asked for a better guide and driver. We reviewed many offers from different tour operators and are very happy we chose to go with Beyond the Plains and hope to do it again one day!

John was our tour organizer and Duncan/Dan was our guide/driver throughout the trip. The trip was organized very well and me and my wife thoroughly enjoyed each and every moment. Good comfy hotels and (Read More) beautiful safaris. Hope to do some more trips with them in future??

Ujjvala and myself reached home safely. Wanted to thank you for all the services, John. Without you and your team this would not be possible for us to have such a wonderful trip to Kenya. Would always (Read More) remember this time. Something’s that I would like you to improve on. The itinerary that was provided was not the same as we experienced. For example, all park fee, snorkeling, all meals at Southern Palms Beach Resort, Diana and the sundowner at Masai Mara, are some that have been mentioned in the itinerary and we were asked to pay again or were given, but excluded. Also the domestic airline tickets were wrongly booked. These are some of the points that I would give for improvement, as there is always scope for improvement. I hope you work on the feedback. God bless you. And Wish you a very successful business. ???

Peter was so amazing, very knowledgable, friendly and generous. He taught us many things about the history of Kenya during our time in the car and lunch. Our first stop was at the Giraffe Centre where (Read More) we got to feed the giraffes. It wasn't crowded and there were at least four to five giraffes we had the pleasure to meet. We were so impressed by their beauty and unique characteristics. Then we headed to the elephant orphanage were we spent one hour learning about each elephant, their background, age, name and how they were saved. What a special moment. The people taking care of them really know their work and love elephants. Then Peter took us to a wonderful place where we had the pleasure to taste some traditional food from the locals. And before we left I took some photos with the lovely people of the Maasai tribe dressed in their traditional clothes. And off we go for the three hour safari. We saw more than we hoped for! Rhinos, buffalos, lions and lionesses sleeping and mating ;) crocodiles, hippos, giraffes, zebras, and the list goes on! Peter gave us binoculars and drove us all around the amazing scenery and close to the animals and waited for us to take photos and examine their behaviour. It was so relaxing and exciting at the same time. We came back trying to realise what we had experienced. So much worth it! A day me and my friend will remember forever!

Hi All, I'm from Kolkata (India) and I'm here to share my trip experience with you all. The complete safari trip has been a wonderful experience for us. With Mr. Ben being our guide, everyday of our t (Read More)rip has been an exceptional great experience. Our trip was from 17th July till 26th July. We have even witnessed wildebeest migration in Mara River and that was absolutely beyond our imagination!! Although we couldn't witnessed any leopard apart from other nocturnal animals in Soysambu Conservancy, but we have witnessed it in Masai Mara National Reserve. We were also lucky to witness the 'Chander Pahar' that is 'The Mountain of the Moon' which is a dream for all the Bengalis as we have novel with the same title written by renowned writer Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay (Mt. Kilimanjaro). Including Nairobi National Park, Amboseli National Park & Masai Mara we got to witness all the Big5s. We have never been so close to Giraffes at Giraffe Center. The crescent island walk after the boat ride at Naivasha Lake has been another magical experience where we got to witness the herbivores walking by our side on their own and the taste of wild prickly pears was amazing?. The bicycling ride to Hell's Gate National Park for stretch of more than 8kms has been another wonderful experience as we get to know about the Pride Rock where Lion King has been filmed! & also Fischer's Point! A water pit in Amboseli as big as a lake full of flamingos has been a great sight! We got a welcome from a Lion King at Lake Nakuru National Park and a warm welcome from Ferozki (Elephant) in Amboseli. Overall experience was great just that since the booking was done within the same month our preferred choices of accomodations was not available apart from one (Kibo Safari Camp @Amboseli). Mr. John has been a wonderful helpful person all along the trip so that we do not miss out on any. I would have visited David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust as well but it got missed just for little miscommunication from the tour agent side
