  • Have dinner and overnight stay in Guwahati.
  • After breakfast, drive to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya (about 100 km, approximately 3-4 hours).
  • En route, visit the Umiam Lake, a beautiful man-made reservoir.
  • Check-in to your hotel in Shillong.
  • Explore the local markets and Shillong's vibrant culture.
  • Have dinner and overnight stay in Shillong.
  • After breakfast, Visit Shillong Peak for panoramic views of the city.
  • Explore Elephant Falls and the Mawphlang Sacred Forest.
  • Visit Ward's Lake for a leisurely walk.
  • Have dinner and overnight stay.
  • After breakfast, drive to Cherrapunji (about 54 km, approximately 2-3 hours), one of the wettest places on Earth.
  • Visit Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai Cave, and Seven Sisters Falls.

  • Return to Shillong in the evening. 
  • Have dinner and overnight stay in hotel
  • Today after breakfast, get ready for a drive to Mawlynnong, known as "Asia's Cleanest Village" (about 90 km, approximately 3-4 hours).
  • Explore the picturesque village and visit the Sky View Point for stunning views of the plains of Bangladesh.
  • Proceed to Dawki, famous for its crystal-clear Umngot River.
  • Enjoy a boat ride on Umngot River.
  • Return to Shillong for an overnight stay.
  • Have dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
  • Depending on your departure time, you can explore local markets or visit any missed attractions in Shillong.
  • Check-out from your hotel.
  • Proceed to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.

Honestly, the experience with Rucksack Adventure was a mess from start to finish. I was really looking forward to exploring Manali and Kasol, but the entire trip felt like a disaster. First of all, (Read More) the driver had a terrible attitude—constantly rude and acting like he was doing us a favor. He barely interacted with us, and whenever he did, it was with an annoyed tone. The travel experience itself wasn’t great either. The itinerary was poorly organized, and it felt like they were just winging it half the time. We ended up wasting so much time because of their lack of planning. And when we did finally get to certain places, the whole vibe was rushed, like they just wanted to check places off a list rather than give us time to actually enjoy them. Accommodation was mediocre at best, and there was little to no support from the Rucksack team when things went wrong. Any time we tried to reach out for help or had questions, we were either ignored or given vague answers. This trip was far from the adventure I was hoping for. Wouldn’t recommend Rucksack Adventure to anyone looking for a positive travel experience in Manali and Kasol.

Rucksack Adventures is a highly professional firm and I recommend everyone to avail their services. I gave them very short notice to plan my trip to Varanasi, Dehradun, Mussoorie and Rishikesh. Superb trip with warm welcome, rooms was very good as promised with nature views, hotel management is very concerned to the visitors, but the approach road upto cottage is little bit disappointed in t (Read More)he beginning but if u want to connect with the culture one hav to stay as it is. the driver is very friendly and very coordinate with us through out the trip. Trip package given to me is as per my budget and requirements.

We had an amazing experience from our recent kashmir trip planned with the help of rucksack adventures. They handled everything very smoothly and specially the nature of the staffs is very friendly an (Read More)d helpful. All the stays (except the pahalgam one) were beautiful. Rucksack managed to be very flexible with the things so that we can cover all the things we planned accordingly.

We stayed two days each in Shillong and Chera punchi. Stay in Shillong was outstanding. Rooms and surroundings are very neat and clean. Food served was also very good. Stay in chera punchi was also (Read More) good.
