Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Hanoi
Upon arrival in Hanoi, our Tour Manager or Local Representative will meet you outside the airport and transfer you to your hotel for check-in (standard check-in time is after 3:00 PM). Hanoi, a vibrant metropolis, blends French colonial charm with the energetic pace of Southeast Asia. After checking in, the rest of the day is at your leisure.
Note: Joining direct passengers/NRI guests can check in on their own at the hotel. If your flight arrives late or there is a long queue at immigration, a packed dinner will be provided.
After breakfast, start your guided city tour with a visit to West Lake, Hanoi’s largest lake, followed by Tran Quoc Pagoda, the city’s oldest Buddhist temple, with a history of over 1,500 years. Next, visit the Hoa Lo Prison Museum, also known as the “Hanoi Hilton” during the Vietnam War, which tells the story of Vietnam’s struggle for independence.
Continue to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, where you will explore the Mausoleum, Museum, and the unique One Pillar Pagoda. After lunch, visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, dedicated to scholars and Confucian learning.
In the afternoon, explore Hanoi’s Old Quarter with a guided walking tour through its narrow streets, colonial architecture, and bustling vendor stalls. End the day with a traditional Water Puppet Show, a unique Vietnamese folk performance.
After breakfast, depart for Halong Bay in an air-conditioned vehicle. Upon arrival, board a cruise and enjoy a welcome drink. Savor a seafood lunch as you sail past towering limestone karsts in this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In the afternoon, explore Sung Sot Cave, the most magnificent in Halong Bay, and visit Titop Island, where you can swim, sunbathe, hike for panoramic views, or kayak in the emerald waters. End the day with a sunset party on board.
Start your morning with a Tai Chi session on the sundeck while enjoying the sunrise. After breakfast, take part in an excursion to explore hidden caves or kayak through the tranquil waters. The cruise returns to the pier by late morning.
Transfer back to Hanoi and board your flight to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, meet your guide and transfer to the hotel for check-in. The evening is at your leisure.
After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of Saigon’s key landmarks. Visit the Reunification Palace, a historic site that played a crucial role in Vietnam’s past. Pass by the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Post Office before visiting the Jade Emperor Pagoda or the War Remnants Museum, which provides insights into Vietnam’s history.
In the afternoon, head to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an extensive underground network built during the Vietnam War. Learn about the ingenuity of Vietnamese soldiers and explore some of the tunnel sections. Return to Saigon in the evening.
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your departure flight. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have additional time for shopping or sightseeing before leaving.

Jenny from LVP travel was horrible! She only cared about saving money at the expense of others. She cancelled the person meeting me at the airport, and gave the wrong location for meeting the driver. (Read More)She placed me on a bus rather than a train, arriving at 3:15 am instead of 7 am, with no one to meet me. She did not want to provide the tour agent with money for the promised excursions, making her cry. She placed the wrong name on a day tour, almost making me miss the activities that day. She was an absolute nightmare!

Booked with LVP from Ireland a little apprehensively despite their good online reviews as we were taking a lot on trust with our big family holiday. We needn't have worried- they never missed a beat. (Read More)All connections were seamless, guides were excellent, accommodation arrangements were great, in short could not fault them. Someone checked in with us every few days from HQ to ensure all was going ok. Well worth going direct to a local company for your Vietnam/Cambodia travel needs, highly recommend.
