Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Hanoi Arrival
  • Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, meet the local guide and transfer to the hotel for check-in.

  • Meet the guide and start the day by visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and residential grounds to learn about his life.

  • In the afternoon, visit a museum or temple of your choice, such as the Museum of Ethnology, Women’s Museum, History Museum, or Quan Thanh Temple.
  • Take a cyclo trip around Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi’s Old Quarter to experience the local culture.
  • Overnight in Hanoi.

  • Depart for Ha Long Bay at 8:00 AM in a shared van, a journey of about four hours.
  • Arrive at the port around noon and board the cruise.

Jenny from LVP travel was horrible! She only cared about saving money at the expense of others. She cancelled the person meeting me at the airport, and gave the wrong location for meeting the driver. (Read More)She placed me on a bus rather than a train, arriving at 3:15 am instead of 7 am, with no one to meet me. She did not want to provide the tour agent with money for the promised excursions, making her cry. She placed the wrong name on a day tour, almost making me miss the activities that day. She was an absolute nightmare!

Booked with LVP from Ireland a little apprehensively despite their good online reviews as we were taking a lot on trust with our big family holiday. We needn't have worried- they never missed a beat. (Read More)All connections were seamless, guides were excellent, accommodation arrangements were great, in short could not fault them. Someone checked in with us every few days from HQ to ensure all was going ok. Well worth going direct to a local company for your Vietnam/Cambodia travel needs, highly recommend.
