These include the Baba-Peranakan culinary marriages that put the South of Thailand on the foodie map. We don't want to spoil the surprise, but some highlights include handmade fresh spring rolls slathered in sticky tamarind sauce, peppery wok-fried mee hoon, Hokkien noodles with delicate prawn wontons and char sui barbecue pork, Southern-style gaeng som curry, Michelin rated pork khao tom hang, and a total of 15+ lip-smackingly good food tastings, in places you'd struggle to find alone. Special Diets: Our tour reflects the local cuisine and street food vendors. Their menus are often signature dishes with limited or no alternatives, therefore we unfortunately cannot cater for every single dietary restriction at every stop. Here's an honest appraisal for the tour, so no-one is disappointed: ✔ Suitable for lactose intolerances. ✔ OK for mild gluten intolerances with 2-3 less tastings (out of 15 total), however not advised for celiac guests as soy sauce is used in various dishes. ✘ Vegetarians, pescatarians and no-pork diets won't go hungry, but only if the guests are okay with having 2-3 less tastings (out of 15 total) - due to limited alternatives available at some stops. ✘ Unsuitable for severe shellfish and peanut allergies due to risk of traces and cross-contamination. ✔ Come hungry, there's plenty of food to sample en route!

We were very lucky to have Lucky as our guide. Lucky made this tour for us. We have done many food tours around the world and Lucky was super. This was one of the best if not the best. We tried an ama (Read More)zing range of food. And food we would never have tried on our own. Lucky was able to describe to us how and where the food came from, how it is cooked, the history of the buildings and restaurants, and tailor it to the ‘level of heat’ that suited us 🌶️ What is great as well about this food tour is that you are supporting local family businesses. Highly recommend it and thank you to Lucky for making it so enjoyable.

The food was absolutely fabulous!! I’ve been a little afraid of Thai food because I don’t love the fish sauce/shrimp paste smell or flavor. Of course- there was some of these on the tour- but it was a (Read More)ll SO GOOD!!! We went to 7 different places. We were STUFFED! Make sure to pace yourself. Our guide - Cat - was also awesome. She was funny and knowledgeable. She really took us to some gems. She explained all courses and ingredients and included their connection to Thai history. Overall it was a highlight of our trip so far!! Highly recommend- even if you’re a little anxious about Thai food!! 🫣😋
