Itinerary

Take a full-day tour of London’s most iconic sights on this 9-hour panoramic guided tour. You will soon be on your way, enjoying the city in all its glory as you drive past some of London's most famous landmarks. Visit St Paul’s Cathedral exploring the masterpiece designed by Sir Christopher Wren in 1673, taking time to listen to the 1695 organ that Mendelssohn once played and visit the tombs of Nelson and Wellington.  Continue to The Mall to watch the Changing of the Guards, as one of the Queen's Foot Guard Household Regiment march from St. James Palace to Buckingham Palace to military music, dressed in their famous tunics and busbies. If the Changing of the Guard is not taking place, you will still stop at Buckingham Palace for photos. Next you will visit the historic Tower of London where you'll gain fascinating insights into the history of this Royal Palace and fortress. Ample time will be given to view the Crown Jewels and the White Tower and to wander around this imposing fortress. Then enjoy a private River Thames cruise and see top attractions such as Houses of Parliament, London Eye, Shakespeare’s Globe, St. Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London. To round off the day, enjoy a delicious cream tea at The Georgian Restaurant at Harrods. Your cream tea includes home-baked English scones served with clotted cream and preserves, choice of tea from Harrods own tea gardens plus a glass of sparkling wine. The tour ends here leaving you the rest of the afternoon to explore the world’s most famous department store.

The Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace currently takes place on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday (subject to availability). When there is no Changing of the Guards we still stop for a photo outside/near the Palace. On Wednesdays when St. Paul’s opens late (10am) the tour will not include the Guard Change but instead will have a photo stop outside Buckingham Palace first thing in the morning. On Sundays there will be no guiding inside St. Paul's Cathedral due to church services. The private river cruise only operates during the summer months. We were pleased with our guide Trevor, who was very thorough in telling us the history of London and pointed out buildings, sites etc. the entire time. As we were only in London for 2 days, this truly (Read More) allowed us to get the highlights.

We were picked up 30 minutes late and waited 15 to 20 minutes for the bus driver at ever stop. This meant that we were too late for most things all day. Tour guide must have said that the traffic was (Read More)crazy 20 times. But it was just normal London traffic. We would not recommend this tour.

The tour is very well organized. However, there is a downside, man/woman is overwhelmed by information, not to say overwhelmed. You always stand too long, especially when entering the Tower of London (Read More)privately, and then you have to listen to stories, which ultimately leads to a lack of time. The same goes for lunch, too stressful, but the quality is excellent, which you just can't enjoy. A request to the organizers: Please also include Big Ben in the photo shoot of Westminster Abbey, it says right next door! But the tour is highly recommended.

The tour guide Paul and the bus driver Allen stand up for their guests. With the pre-registration everything went without problems.
