The guide gave us a short introduction in English below. I normally understand English well, but he had a strong accent and was difficult to understand acoustically as there was a lot of ambient noise (Read More). I knew that the same tour before us had gone up the Eiffel Tower with their guide. I saw him upstairs accompanying his group and explaining a few things. Our guide, on the other hand, sent us up the tower alone and thus failed to fulfill his task.

The guide (with the physical tickets) was not standing near the entrance of the tower, and there’s no way to contact the guide apart from following the meeting point directions to meet him. We just ab (Read More)out made it on time, after having to run after the guide to get our physical tickets. Having e vouchers which we could use to go in directly would help.

Guide dropped us off in the skip the line area to go up to the second floor, told us he would be up there in about 40 minutes but his collègues were up there giving tours. Never saw him again
