The driver was helpful but too obliging to the point of getting to the hotel very late where we would miss the enjoyment of the 5 star resort. I think it’s partly due to the difficulty of communicatin (Read More)g in English. We asked if there is time for a Ayurvedic massage along the way at a convenient location and get to the hotel before 6pm. It became a convoluted discussion. He wanted to detour to Munnar from where we were when the conversation started and we soon realized it would take 58 km extra to get to the hotel, by then we estimated we might arrive at 9pm. When we became aware of this fact, we told him to not to proceed further. He was not too pleased with us, I think. His driving was incredibly reckless when he was late in getting to the houseboat. It was honking and taking risky corners. We did not feel safe. He under estimated the time required for the journey. He obliged us to stop at the herb garden to take the elephant ride which we missed on the way up due to a long queue then. We might have stopped for 30 minutes. Infact we insisted to start the journey at 8:30am though he suggested it was ok to start at 9am or even 9:30am. Our recommendation is that the driver must know the traveling time needed in the hills region, explained to the travelers who know little about the local logistics and not say ‘yes’ to every question.

You gave good feedback as per whatsapp conversation, now feedback is different, we told you to take local guide in munnar because you are coming for research program in munnar, driver can (Read More)help you to visit all tourist places as per time availability of day, we gave english speaking driver in tour for better communication. if you want enjoy 5* hotel on hill station then have to take minimum 3 nights on hill region, Ayurvedic Massage available at every places & maximum hotels in kerala. As per itinerary you have very less time to visit munnar that's why ayurvedic massage can take in hotel only. if you take out side then time will waste of sightseeing. Out side city sightseeing not allow as per confirmed package. Munnar to allppey distance 168km, it will take 6 hours drive, if you start drive at 08:00a.m for alleppey then you will reach 14:00 in alleppey house boat, lunch time in house boat at 13:00 to 15:00. we mentioned all travel time in itinerary. if you take elephant ride on the way then you will late to reach alleppey and missed houseboat experiences. Driver know that very well all timing and tourist point because he traveling last many year on that region, overall you expecting guide services from driver that can't be possible sometime, local city guide can help to follow in activities and walk with you in sightseeing that why we always recommend to guest to take local city guide but guide charges extra that you don't want to pay, if you take guide in tour then everything will perfect in sightseeing, we are again suggest to take local city guide in tour for any research program and hope we serve you again in future.
