Tour Operator & Sales Person: Bisma - Unprofessional
Tour Captain: Sameer - Sweet, Safe Cab Driver, but need to (Read More) learn more about his role of being guide and tourism business.
Tour Manager: Umar - Big time Crook, Mannerless, Careless, Unprofessional, Arrogant and i can add many more to this.
I'm writing this review as a warning to others after experiencing a disastrous trip with Umifar Tours (Srinagar). What was supposed to be a memorable family vacation turned into a nightmare due to their incompetence.
The itinerary was poorly planned, and we faced constant demands for extra money for trivial reasons throughout our 5-day stay. The agency's greed knew no bounds, even on the last day, when they cancelled our hotel booking, leaving us stranded at midnight with no choice but to book a room on our own because what they booked was a really Shady place where a genuine family will not even peek.
Incident-1: 3 Months in advance certain expectations were set along with booking amount, but Bisma and her team failed to comply. She was been told that i have elderly parents and they cannot climb stairs so either book a room on ground floor or have a hotel which has lift. Despite setting this expectations numerous times, we were been shifted to very first day on 3rd floor. Imagine this was discussed.
Incident 2:
Bisma was been informed that Family of 4 would stay in same room so arrange accomodations accordingly but she left a deaf ear to all this and booked a room which cannot comply accomodations. Food in hotel is definitely below average so when they promise you of variety and taste, please & i say please don't get fooled.
Incident 3: For BoatStay, they took 1k extra from said amount, and to refund same it took more than a month by Bisma and her team. They expect all the payments from you to be done on immediate basis, however when it comes to refund they will take ages.
Incident 4: Being a tour operator, you expect someone to talk on your behalf with locals, Bargain or have some consideration over rates. Nothing and I tell you Nothing at all. They ll make you feel helpless and you have to end up either avoiding the place due to rates or fight. We had fights and arguments too. One such incident was at Gondola ride day. You reach a point and then you get another cab, driver and so called guide. These rates are pre-decided and well planned by locals so no point arguing. "They'll keep repeating that don't waste time or else it will get close. Your booking would be wasted". When you reach the spot, the ride is at least 2-3 kms away from parking spot. You have to travel all the way to the spot through wooden sledge or any other means. Mind it sledge pullers are real crooks. They ll charge 3k-5k pp.They will argue with rate card (a 5rs printout) and they have their so called majority and union. The sledge pullers throughout the way keep complaining on your weight, will ask you to get an extra person for pulling that is additional 1.5k to 2k or will ask for more money. They have no courtesy, no manners, no humanity left. They are so hungry for money that they even don't consider senior citizens.
Ask for a guide which has a permit. Mostly locals try to become guide which they don't have entry near Gondola gate forget about actual entrance. We were fooled and later we understood about permit.
To add insult to injury, they withheld the refund from the Gondola ride and never apologized for the inconvenience they caused. Their lack of accountability and customer care is appalling. They failed to provide complaint no/ reference no for Gondola ride refund by just making some or the other excuses and kept ignoring msgs and calls.
Horrific Incident 5: Our last day Pahalgam hotel booking were cancelled without our intimation. They made us travel within Pahalgam unnecessary when we ask them to take back to Pahalgam hotel as we need to rest. But booking was never ever done.
Miscommunication: Tour guides, hotels, and restaurants may not communicate well, leading to an imperfect travel experience

Our 8 day tour of Kashmir was one of the most memorable trips ever. We were a group of friends and family travelling from Kolkata. We had senior citizens in the group including a member with a fractur (Read More)e in foot. I have to say right from planning of the trip to organizing and executing we faced no issues at all. We visited the beautiful gardens of Srinagar, Doodhpatri, Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonmarg. A stay at the houseboat on last day was also included. We had some of the best hotels. 3 star hotels with 5 star amenities. Our tour guides Mr. Muzamil and Mr. Danish treated us like family members. They gave us proper support and guidance on places to visit and shopping too. We strongly recommend Umifar Tours and Travels for an enjoyable smooth and comfortable Kashmir trip, especially with senior citizens. We thank Mr Umer of Umifar Tour n Travels for his support. The hospitality of Hotel Milan Srinagar, Hotel Ski Hill Resort, Gulmarg, Pahalgam Retreat, Pahalgam for their hospitality.
The travel experience started from the point I booked and finalised the package. From the get go I was guided by Sumaira madam on the things to be done. I was guided properly on the things I have to c (Read More)arry. I was told only certain SIMs would work and to plan accordingly. Upon arrival we were received by our transport contact Muzamil Darzi. He picked us up and dropped us at our Hotel Dar Rehman. The hotel was great with nice service. Breakfast and dinner was included and was served on time in buffet style. We stayed here for 3 days with day trips for each day. The first day was local sightseeing of Srinagar. The second day was to Sonamarg. The place was awesome. The views were beautiful. The next day was to Gulmarg. Here we experienced Gondola Ride and other activities on top of snow. It was an awesome experience. On the fourth day we left to Pahalgam. Enroute to Pahalgam we stopped at Kesar town to shop for certain things and here we experienced the local beverage Kashmiri kahwa(kah meaning 11 and kahwa drink including 11 masalas). It was a soothing drink to have. After some shopping we proceeded to Pahalgam. Here upon dropping out luggage in hotel we proceeded for sightseeing on ponies. The must go place here is Baisaran valley which is called mini Switzerland by the locals. The views were pretty soothing. It is a great picnic spot. The pony ride is a must have experience. After completing sightseeing we proceeded to the hotel(New Tourist Palace) to have our dinner and have some rest to proceed the next day to Srinagar. Enroute we completed river rafting on a tributary of Jhelum. It was a thrilling experience. Upon arrival to Srinagar we were to stay at a houseboat (Moonlight Houseboat). The houseboat was pretty good. It had all amenities to have a good experience. All the staff here were good. At sunset we were offered a shikara ride and the ride was refreshing with awesome views. All the way the transport contact was guiding us on the things to be done. He even helped us get a great deal on the sightseeing rides. Over-all it was a great experience. We had a very great experience with Umifar Tours and travels since planning for Amarnath-Kashmir trip. Tazdeeqa was friendly, helpful and supportive. By the time of the trip, I felt Tazdeeqa as my fri (Read More)end. As I work in nightshifts, she was always available even during night times to clear my doubts about the trip. After we reached Kashmir, Junaid and Sameer came to pick us and they are super friendly and we never felt like we are travelling with strangers. They were very friendly, supportive, talkative and has a lot of patience to wait for us at Baltal for 2days till we are back from Amarnath holy cave. Junaid took us to exhibition/mela near our stay at gulmarg where we experienced donkey circus for the first time and tasted local cuisine and seen locals from the near. Junaid is an amazing driver who drives like a pro even on ghat sections. All the hotels assigned for our stays were amazing. Especially Marigold resort, Gulmarg, Dar Rehman, Srinagar. Surely I will plan a winter trip again with Umifar Tour and travels and would 100% recommend them to my family and friends...Good work guys. Keep it up....

The whole trip was arranged very well. The travel agents Umar and Sumaira were always available to guide us. We were in Kashmir for 8 days and all the spots we visited were beyond beautiful.
The hotel (Read More)s booked were good, the drivers Sajad and Mohsin were very courteous and friendly. overall a comfortable trip!
It was well organised tour. The hotels were clean and food was good. The places yousmarg and Doodhpatri are usually not there in other tour packages. Both the places are awesome, especially Yousmarg.U (Read More)mair and Sumaira are very soft spoken and are available 24/7.The cars were good and comfortable. I regret to say that my experience working at Umifar Tour and Travel was incredibly disappointing. As an ex-employee, I feel compelled to share my experience in the hope that it will serve as a cautio (Read More)nary tale for potential clients and employees.
First and foremost, I want to address the issue of payment. Despite consistently achieving my monthly targets, my salary was never paid to me. This lack of payment put me in a difficult position, especially as my family was facing a crisis due to my father's accident. It is deeply disheartening to see how little regard the management at Umifar Tour and Travel has for their employees' financial well-being.
Moreover, the behavior of the boss towards me was completely unacceptable. I experienced consistent mistreatment, disrespect, and unprofessionalism. It is disheartening to witness such behavior in a professional setting, and it is certainly not reflective of a reputable travel agency.
I had hoped for a supportive and encouraging work environment, but unfortunately, my experience was far from that. The lack of empathy and the dismissive attitude towards my concerns were clear indicators of the company's disregard for its employees' well-being.
I strongly urge anyone considering Umifar Tour and Travel's services to reconsider their choice. It is essential to support companies that value their employees and treat them with respect. Unfortunately, my experience at this agency has left me deeply disappointed and financially strained.
I hope that my review will serve as a wakeup call to the management at Umifar Tour and Travel. Treating employees with dignity and ensuring timely payment is not only a legal obligation but also the foundation of a healthy work environment
First of all I want to express that Kashmir was on of my dream place from childhood and became an awesome and excellent experience just because of Umifar tour and travels.....I had 7 days tour plan an (Read More)d from very beginning of the tour not a single day I faced any issue or not any problem in my trip......each and every day was planned accordingly as they told.....the hotel the food everything was awesome.....from jammu to last day in houseboat everything was more than my expectation.....me and my family was very happy and got a pleasant trip......most of all the guy named Umar Faruque who was namely as my tour manager but he is more than a manager, rather than I want t say that he is like a brother and as well as a friend and always behave like a family member.....I was so happy.....thanks Umar vai.....vagwan ne chaha to fir milenge vai......
