The Somnath Jyotirlinga Temple is first of the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines of Lord Shiva. It is located on the western coast of Gujarat and is one of the oldest temples of the country. Kamnath Mahadev Temple was built 200 years ago and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It was built by King Mayurdhwaj who is believed to have cured of leprosy after taking a bath in the Dudhiya Talav, a sacred pond inside the temple complex. Till date, devotees believe that a dip in the holy water could cure humans of any disease.
