Rooms a bit dusty and cob webby.. silly things like a bit of bleach over the shower would work wonders .

Shower was good and tea and coffees provided, and chocolates a nice touch..communal areas looked good

Room 210 was very hot and very small. Hard to get past the bed. There was chewing gum and a stain in the carpet and the desk had some damage to the chipboard. It looked like it was a bit tired having been done up to look good a few years ago the communal room was shut when we visited.

The cups and plates provided were all dirty and the shower was a bit broke although really powerful

a couple of issues but absolutely better than most other places i have stayed in Scunthorpe.

the room was spotlessly clean and the staff were really helpful the only down side was the size of the room (not an issue as i was alone but if i had stayed with my partner would have been cramped) and the bed was a little hard. on the whole though it was great and I would absolutely stay here again.

the bed was a little uncomfortable, and parking at the front was a little restricted. however, the car park at the rear had lots of space. it may benefit from some clearer signage though as i'm not from the area so finding the parking at the rear on the second night wasn't very easy.

Pretty disappointing

The hotel is in a good, easy to reach location with parking. The staff were friendly and welcoming. My room was clean and, although a bit tired, was still well presented. The breakfast was great and delivered to my room on time.

Although I paid for a superior double room, I was surprised to discovered my room didn't have a window. This made it a gloomy cave. As other reviewers have noted, the emergency exit lighting is super bright in a windowless room, so I woke up many times in the night due to the glare. The bed was super soft which I found very uncomfortable. The fire alarm was triggered multiple times on the night I stayed by other guests taking showers with the bathroom door open it was apparent that this was a very common issue at this hotel and was very disruptive. Overall, I'm surprised by the high ratings this hotel has. It's not terrible, but a windowless room, multiple fire alarms, difficult sleeping conditions and uncomfortable bed made my stay feel pretty rough. I'm glad I only stayed one night.
