Good place to stay for the money

The guesthouse offered a balcony at the front of the house to sit + an area to make tea and coffee.

The bathroom could have been cleaner.

Look, it's not bad...for the money. But just a couple of thing's. The water in the shower was teppid at best. We queried whether we were using it properly. We were. There was only a trickle of water in the vanity While there is a jug for tea in the common area there is not tea or coffee. There are cups plates and glasses but no cutlery .and please don't look at the drying cloths. You can't unsee some things. Personally I wouldn't eat at any of the lakeside eateries. But would definitely recommend Palhena. We went there twice. Lastly just be aware the is absolutely no English spoken by the owner. But for $35aus I guess it's ok

Beautiful, well-maintained property with the kindest owner who lives in one half of the property. When I stayed, the proprietor was AMAZINGLY kind about check-in and check-out time. He wanted to help me arrange transport and cook my own (gluten-free) breakfast in his own / family kitchen. Just like the pictures. Definitely book here!
