Nice roomy, well maintained property with some downsides.

Space, facilities and cleanliness of the bedroom and bathroom was great. Parking on site was useful.

When arriving in the dark there was no visible / lit signs for the B&B so missed the house and its in a location with a middle section of road that cannot be crossed, makes it difficult to easily turn around. Whilst the room was great, it was also cool at night, so woke up a number of times. I was also surprised that whilst I had a private bathroom, it wasn't en suite. I'm not sure if this arrangement wasn't explained or I didn't read the information carefully enough. I was also surprised the bathrooom didn't have any shower gel - every other property I stayed in had and for the first time I hadn't brought any shower gel.

Maureen was a lovely hostess!

The beds were very comfortable and toasty warm. The tea and instant coffee in the room was a comfortable touch. The location close to shops & bus stops was ideal. Maureen 's grandson was very sweet.

The room was cold on arrival but quickly warmed up. The single pane windows let in street noise.

Great value, great spot.

Beds were comfy. Shower was great. Clean. Easy to get to city centre. Maureen kept in contact with door codes as we were late arriving. This was much appreciated. WiFi essential with two teenagers.

A Birthday /Christmas Market stay at Ardgowan Guest House

We stayed in the Lovely big family room,with high ceiling, big windows and nice original features,all very clean. Handy supermarket across the road and good bus route ,that takes you straight into city centre. Host was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again
