Superb

Such a treat.

I didn't use the spa as I was primarily wanting to walk and relax with my grown up children who live here while I live in South Africa. The breakfast was good with one exception - today someone ate all the pastries - maybe some frozen croissants for emergencies? the restaurant produces excellent quality and quantity meals. Thank you.

We were looking forward to our stay at Armathwaite Hotel but it did not live up to our expecations

Did not use the Spa Breakfast was good Dinner was average with Good friendly service, however the Lamb for 36 was disappointing - taste good but minimum food for the price - 2 tiny pieces (medallions) of Lamb

We stayed in a Club Room no.154 1. Shower above the Bath was poor - Small enclosure in the middle of the Bath - Bath Slippery surface, No Support Handle or Rail, - very dangerous for a person at the age of 86 years. Suggest Showers would be more convenient for the majority of Guests 2. No Toiletries in the Bath Room apart from 2 Bottles fixed to Wall at "shower height" - How can they be used whilst in the bath 3. Cold Water Tap always produced Luke Warm undrinkable water 4. Stairs from Ground Floor up to our Room on the next Floor were steep and difficult to Climb. Needs a Lift or a Stair Lift. 5. Compared to our recent experience at various Hotel this year the Room Facilities were disappointing

Superb

Beautiful Break

Loved the surprise champagne and upgrade to our room for our silver wedding anniversary. The lovely desert "happy anniversary" chocolates. Staff were very attentive and welcoming. Grounds were stunning. Facilities, well kept. Hot tub outdoors with well-kept gardens.

Room was extremely warm and therefore didn't sleep very well, had to open windows to circulate some fresh air. Would rather this though, than be too cold.
