    The house was in a beautiful, quiet location on a country lane with a magnificent view, yet only a five minute drive to Mountcharles Pier one direction and to Mountcharles village another. The pier was recommended to us by our host, Catherine, and was a hive of activity in the evenings with locals gathering to fish, swim and boat. There was also a lovely coffee shop and petting farm overlooking the pier. It was an authentic insight into local life and we went there most evenings. Location was ideal - quiet enough to feel like you were away from it all but with easy access to Donegal town, Killybegs and fabulous beaches. The house itself was five star - quiet, plenty of space (including a huge walk-in wardrobe off one bedroom) , very nicely decorated, modern with a fantastic kitchen, large flatscreen etc, and excellently equipped with a generous supply of cleaning products and toiletries. Catherine was fantastic to deal with - extremely responsive, friendly and helpful. Our kids were begging to return! I could not recommend the house and host enough.

    Nothing really. Suggest the mattresses in the two end bedrooms upstairs may be due an update but they were absolutely fine for our children and otherwise the house was easily the best Ive stayed in in Ireland and our host Catherine was a pleasure to deal with.

    Fantastic family holiday in Donegal!
    Great house, comfortable, clean, well-equipped kitchen, well located. We were a family group, age range 20months to 76years. Great areas for socialising and dining including outdoor garden and eating area. Owner was great at answering any questions and provided local knowledge on good beaches and eateries, much appreciated. We had a great stay here and would happily stay again.

    Catherine was an amazing host, she made us feel very welcome, was so helpful and even provided additional items for my elderly father that we had not asked for to make his stay more comfortable. The house is amazing with a beautiful view and only a few min from the beach by car. The description of the house and facilities does not do it justice. Great place to explore Donegal from. Loved our stay and everyone had a great and relaxing time. Would highly recommend.
    The road up to the property is a little tight with hidden ditches but there are places to pull in if you meet traffic.

    The host made us feel so welcome that is was very easy to relax and settle in to the house. It was really a home away from home. The views were gorgeous, the house so comfortable and the host was correct when she told us we only needed to bring food and toiletries, everything else was there. The host contacted us to explain the water heating system if needed and also thanked us for staying at the end of the holiday. I really cannot recommend enough - a great host and a great house.

    A little piece of heaven in the Donegal.
    The house was beautiful and elegantly furnished. The location was lovely in quiet location which gave easy access to many different locations in Donegal, Leitrim and even Sligo. We really enjoyed our stay and really loved the house. We would highly recommend this house to friends and family. We would love to stay here again.

    Beautiful house in a stunning location.
    Host was very welcoming, gave us a good tour round the house and showed us how to work the heating, hot water, etc. House was immaculate, four large double bedrooms and plenty of space for a family of six and a dog. We had a lovely week's stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a holiday in Donegal.

    The house itself was lovely, lots of room and the lady who owned it was lovely.
    It was to far away from anything, got cold at night and no way of knowing how to heat the house, was no light fitting in one bathroom and only one shower worked, no hair dryer and the tumble dryer had wet clothes left in and wasn't great to use and I don't think washing machine was working, and there was no instructions for the dishwasher.

    Catherine was exceptionally friendly, always available and helpful. The house itself is large, family friendly, comfortable and was excellently prepared for our stay. The location is perfect as a base to explore South Donegal, North Sligo, Fermanagh and beyond.
    There was nothing we did not like.
