Very good

A brief relaxing break after a busy Christmas and in preparation for the New Year festivities.

Characterful, attractive building, set in beautiful secluded grounds.

Our room was particularly cold due to the strong westerly wind that caused a draft through the sash windows. It was noticeably warmer on the third day when the wind had changed direction. There was a distinct lack of vegetarian options on the menu and nothing vegan.

Enjoyed our stay, but a couple of niggles.

Beautiful location. Views from brasserie, restaurant & terrace across the bay are fantastic. Staff friendly, helpful & attentive. Brasserie food was very good & value for money. Short, pleasant walk into Brixham via the breakwater and harbour.

Room a little crowded & felt tight to move around. Bed mattress was too hard & hence not comfortable. Disturbed by noisy aircon unit on flat roof below bedroom window during evening & woken by it first thing in morning (was off overnight).

Breakfast was amazing everything you could possibly want for breakfast

Our room was lovely but the room next door tv was on the wall behind our bed and had to knock twice to ask for it to be turned down late at night.

Passable

We wouldn't rush back or recommend, too much 'FaultyTowers' for me. The 2 dinners were good.

Seafront location Evening food in the restaurant was good

Service was friendly but haphazard and many staff were undertrained. The 2 wines bought by the glass in the bar were awful. Bedroom was clean but bland, rather dreary and not well maintained, eg. toilet roll holder and curtain rail both hanging off the wall.
