I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at a resort that turned out to be the worst of my life. The unprofessional staff, especially the manager named Ali, made the entire stay incredibly frustrating.
Before making the reservation, we called the resort because they did not have an option to book for three people . The staff informed us to simply book for two and they will sort it out once we arrive. However, upon our arrival, we were shocked to discover that the price for the third person was exorbitantly high. When we questioned Ali about this, he stated that it was a fixed price and it was their policy. We were left wondering why he didn't inform us about this from the beginning, leaving us with a price that was above our budget.
Furthermore, the staff continually hounded us about our reservation details and insisted on checking it from our own devices. We questioned why they needed to do this, especially since they had the booking information on their side already. Ali mentioned that he needed to confirm because some people lie about their booking package which we found to be very rude and unnecessary.
To add insult to injury, when we expressed our desire to extend our stay due to a midnight flight on the last day, Ali gave us a price for an extra night but failed to mention their late check-out policy which was way less than the price he gave. We felt misled and frustrated by their lack of transparency.
Despite these terrible experiences, the resort did have its positive aspects. The view from the resort was truly spectacular. In addition, a lady named Munera stood out as the best staff member we encountered during our stay. She was friendly, helpful, and provided excellent customer service.
Overall, while the view and the presence of a few noteworthy staff members were commendable, my stay at this resort was marred by unprofessionalism and miscommunication.
