    Warm setting offering historical styled comfort in modern days
    Being welcomed by the Ferncliff team is a start of a very warm and caring stay in one of the gloriously historical styled rooms. During your stay nothing is left to chance and both rooms and services are well cared for. High recommendation!

    Comfortable, intimate stay in a family-friendly bungalow with fantastic service
    Ferncliff Bungalow is a very special place to stay and probably my favourite guesthouse in Sri Lanka. It's small (four rooms) which means you are extremely well-looked after by Bernard and his team. The bungalow is spacious with large rooms and a cosy communal dining area (complete with an open fire). The limited number of rooms means maximum flexibility when it comes to arrival, departure and all your meals. Bernard kindly prepared a packed lunch for our young children to eat on the train. The gardens are well-maintained and a welcome open (but safe) space for kids to let off steam.

    Best place to stay in Nuwara Eliya
    Amazing place!!! The house in the Colonial style is situated in a big garden, with wonderful flowers and trees. The room was large and tasted furnished. The breakfast and the dinner were amazing. At night the host even opened the fire place and light the candles. One of our nicest places we stayed in Sri Lanka. We highly recommend this place!

    A piece of colonial luxury - like going back in time.
    Beautiful period property and garden. Bernard and his team were extremely accommodating - they cleaned our muddy walking boots and put hot water bottles in our bed in the evening. The food is fantastic, served in a lovely dining room with a roaring fire. Located near Victoria Park and 10 mins walk to the centre of town.

    Perfect from start to finish!
    Staying in Ferncliff Bungalow is like staying in history! A beautiful colonial house nearly 200 years old maintained lovingly to the highest standards by its lovely team. Bernard is the perfect host. We felt so well cared for and pampered. Dinner was delicious. We are so happy we stayed in Ferncliff and would highly recommend.
