    Peaceful stay with beautiful views
    Very comfortable stay with incredible views from the bedroom. Rooms lovely and quiet despite a lively bar downstairs. Staff very helpful and accommodating.

    The stopover worked in well with our trip, but wouldve been far more pleasant with welcoming staff.
    Beautiful setting with river.
    If we booked directly with the hotel, instead of Booking.Com, we would have received 20% off our meal. (Not impressed with this - leaves a bitter taste in ones mouth.)

    A lovely stay
    The Fisherman's Cot is in a beautiful location right next to the River Exe. Bickleigh Mill and Castle are very close. The room we had was very comfortable, spacious, warm and had everything we needed. The food was good too.

    The views were absolutely stunning, a peaceful vacation just before Christmas. Definitely what the doctor ordered. The staf was very friendly and helpful. It was very comfortable
    The only downside was limited choice of food due to the fact they ran out of various items. However they were very busy due to the time of year so we understood.

    Lovely as we were meeting family.
    Breakfast apart from cooked breakfast was disappointing. No fresh fruit, yoghurt only toast and cereal. No cappuccino or skimmed milk. No alternatives of milk for non dairy diets. Supper not good. Couldnt eat tough steak no selection for gluten and dairy free diets. Couldnt eat what was offered. Reserved table for supper, this was given to other people. Offered another four seater small table. No good for 5 people. Offered alternative in a very dark area. ( perhaps they didnt want you to see the food ). The hotels only saving grace was the location, by the river which was flowing rapidly after all the rain..
